Our Worship

Why we worship

God desires our attention and focus. If we don’t worship Him, we’ll fill our hearts, longings, time and purpose with something else; something that can't satisfy us. He wants all of us, all the time, to be in intimate contact with Him.

How we worship

All of life is a response to God, including music.  But it is far more.  An attitude of bowing before Him, or serving Him, are perhaps the postures that best describe our worship of God.  Our worship should be costly, as King David said:  "I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God…offerings that cost me nothing" (2 Samuel 24:24); and also "In Spirit and truth" (John 4:24).

What happens when we worship?

We encounter God.  We are changed.  We find ourselves re-oriented and ready to go and serve, making a difference in our world. Isaiah said, “Here am I, send me.” Moses led his people from captivitiy. With faith, Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness" (Genesis 15:6).

Our Lord is so worthy of our praise and adoration.  He is the One who renews us from the inside.

Quiet your heart.  Enjoy God's presence and the restoration that comes from Him alone.
